Hi there! My name is Bonnie Walker, welcome to my website! Originally from Dallas, Texas, I moved to North Carolina to attend Wake Forest University. In May 2014, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and a North Carolina K-6 Licensure. Throughout my time at Wake Forest, I was lucky enough to spend a great deal of time in the classroom. Over my four years, I gained experience in kindergarten, third, and fifth grade. Upon graduating in May 2014, I took a job teaching First Grade at Fountain City Elementary in Knoxville, TN. My first year of teaching has been a challenging, but wonderful experience and I wouldn't have wished to do it anywhere besides FCE. This year has been a magnificent opportunity for me to grow and has also shown me how much I still have to learn!

Meet Ms. Walker

I would love to stay in Knoxville for another year, but due to family circumstances, I have chosen to move back to Dallas to be close to my family. I am excited for the new opportunities this move brings and the new students I will have the joy of getting to teach. My philosophy is that every student has value and potential and it is on the shoulders of the teacher to discover their unique learning style in order to unlock their intelligence. I believe that with the right tools, children can achieve anything. My hope is that I can create a nuturing classroom environment that will allow my students to think freely and imaginatively, as my teachers did for me. I hope that I can inspire my students to grow as independent individuals with integrity.

                           Sincerely,

Ms. Walker
